A. Educational forum about Real Estate Search and Investment「從買屋到成為屋主」的資訊講座

We will have an Educational forum about Real Estate Search and Investment this Friday from 7:30 to 8:30PM in King School Library. It will be hosted by former AACCOM teacher YuChun Wang. Several other presenters will join in the discussion and Q&A sessions.

 Even though the presenters are from the related industries.  There will be No Company Logo, No Sales Pitch, and No Sign-Up sheet nor  Information Solicitation. Again, our Chinese school provides a platform to host this forum for educational purpose, with no commercial intend nor considerations.”

 安娜堡中文學校將在這個星期五於圖書館舉行一個「從買屋到成為屋主」的資訊講座。時間是 7:30pm 到 8:30pm，請有興趣的家長於 7pm 左右抵達。中文學校的前任老師王郁君為主持人和主講人之一。現場除了提供買房的基本資訊，還有律師解答在場聽眾的房地產相觀問題。

安娜堡中文學校歡迎各團體來學校提供資訊性講座，但是中文學校稟持著非營利組織的宗旨，堅持任何講座及其相關傳單不得附加任何商業標誌，講座內容也不能含括推銷產品或服務項目，或收集個人資訊。安娜堡中文學校僅提供純粹的教育資訊平台給學校家長及其家人朋友。

A. NCACLS (National Council of Association of Chinese Language Schools) Lunar New Year Photo Contest  全美中文學校聯合總會線上攝影比賽

Contest比賽辦法: 
 Upload the lunar new year celebration pictures to NCACLS’s facebook page. Please write brief description of the photo on the post and also include your name, state, and the name of the Chinese school. The ranking will base on the number of “Like” hits.
上載由參賽學生拍攝僑校慶祝農曆新年的照片到全美中文學校聯合總會臉書 (https://www.facebook.com/NCACLS)，以 “LIKE” 數為排名依據，請在照片旁附上簡短說明並註明所在州名與中文學校名稱.

Contest Period比賽日期: 2/11/2019 – 2/24/2019

Eligibility參賽資格: 
Current students of NCACLS member schools
全美中文學校聯合總會所屬會員學校本學年在校就讀學生

Contest Result比賽結果:

Champion Prize: $100 Gift card x 1(1 person) 第一名禮卡$100元1位

2nd place:  $50 Gift card x2 (Two people) 第二名禮卡$50元2位

Prize winners will need to provide their Chinese Name, English full name, and the Chinese school name to be posted on NCACLS’s website. The Word-a-thon is this Friday, 1/25. Please encourage your student to practice so that they could get the reward card to get food and/or goods.
認字馬拉松將於本周五1/25舉行，請家長鼓勵學生提早準備，以順利獲得集點卡，在family yard sale中換取美食或獎品。

B.Volunteers needed for Word-a thon & 2019 Lunar New Year Party

Word-a thon and Lunar New Year Party are the two major events of AACCOM and all the school members enjoyed them. As you all know, the great events can not continue without your help and support. We are still short of volunteers for 1/25 Word-a-thon and 2/2 Lunar New Year Celebration. If you have time and want to help, please sign up through following links.

Ann Arbor District Library downtown branch will be showing the documentary film, “Search for General Tso,” on Thursday, Jan 10, 2019, 6:30 pm, followed by a discussion moderated by Frances Kai-Hwa Wang. All School Members,

The annual Republic of China flag raising ceremony will be held at the Sheraton Hotel on January 1st, 2019. Free lunch will be served after the ceremony. Staffs from Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago (TECO) will be on site help process applications for passport, visa, or shopping card for Taiwanese living overseas. The event information is listed below and attached.

No Food in Classroom & Hallway  禁止於教室或走廊飲食

We got an incident report from Mary Cooper, Principal of King school.One child in King school had severe allergies due to food wrappers left in a classroom last Friday night. please strictly observe the policy of No Eating in all classrooms and hallway.

Classroom and School Facility Rules

– Do NOT use the drinking fountain, toilet and trash can in the classrooms.

– No food or drinks in the classrooms or hallway.

– Please use the drinking fountain, trash cans and restrooms on the hallway。Food is only allowed in Multipurpose Room. NO NUTS please.

各位中文學校家長老師請注意,  King school校長反映該校有名學生因上星期五晚上教室遺留零食包裝導致嚴重過敏, 請務必確認禁止在Multi-purpose room之外的任何教室及走廊飲食.並請遵守下列規則

 學校及教室使用規則

3. 10/26 Fire Drill 消防演習

A. 2017-2018 Volunteer Deposit Refund

This coming Friday, OCT 26th will be the last day (after 10/12 and 10/19) that Chinese School board member will be providing refund to the parents who completed the three volunteer event in 2017-2018 school year. The time of Refund will be from from 7:30 to 9:30 pm.  As notified last year, please present your signed volunteer tracking sheet from last year to receive the $30, $20, or $10 refund depend on the number of volunteer events completed. If you have any question, please ask the board member at Multipurpose room.

If you do not request your refund by the end of Friday before hand, your deposit will be considered a donation to the school.  And we will send you an donation acknowledge letter afterward. 

This school year, the AACCOM BOARD will have a new policy of refunding your volunteer at the end of school year.  You can help us out by making sure your the volunteer sign-up sheet is properly signed by event leader after each event, and having it ready near the end of school year.

B. Sponsorship Advertisement on 2018-2019 AACCOM Directory  通訊錄廣告贊助

It is the time of the year that we are making the school directory.  We all work hard to keep the school financially sound, and we always need your support and encouragement. If you would like to post a sponsorship AD on the directory, or have any information regarding potential merchant that could be our potential sponsor, please contact us at the Chinese school board (board@aaccom.org).  Attach below is the solicitation letter in both English and Chinese, with more details of sponsorship information.  Again, we thank all of your help in making our school work.

C. 10/26 Fire Drill 消防演習

Due to the rain last Friday evening, the fire drill is postponed to this Friday (10/26).
Please find the detail fire drill plan in the attachment.  Just a reminder, the temperature will drop below 50 degrees in the evening on Friday. Parents are advised to prepare warm clothes for children and children are also allowed to carry flashlights during the fire drill.

上週因雨取消的消防演習，將於本週五舉行。詳細演習施行計畫，請參閱附件。本週五入夜之後，氣溫會降至五十度以下，請各位家長為小朋友準備好禦寒衣物，亦可讓小朋友隨身攜帶手電筒，以便於疏散時使用。
